Bookkeeper/Administration – Part Time – Notting Hill

Amaero Engineering is Australian owned and operated manufacturer of metal components.
Founded over five years ago as a spin-off from Monash University Centre of Additive Manufacturing, we have grown through a focus on research and development, coupled with leading edge equipment and technology that has earned them an outstanding reputation with local and international clients in the aerospace and defence sectors.

We are seeking a highly competent person for the role of Bookkeeper/Administrator on a part time basis.
Role
This is a part-time role involving approximately 10-15 hours over 2 days per week. It covers the bookkeeping and administrative tasks typically found in a small/medium engineering business.

These include:

  • Payroll, including processing time sheets / job sheets.
  • Purchase orders and invoices
  • Mail / phones / ordering
  • Reconciliations and expenses
  • Accounts payable / accounts receivable
  • PAYG / BAS and other statutory payments
  • FBT and GST
  • Monthly financial statements i.e. P & L and Balance Sheet

Candidate
The ideal candidate will have had several years’ experience in a Bookkeeping role, supported by a bookkeeping qualification or preferably an accounting degree. You must have an in-depth understanding of all the bookkeeping/admin functions listed above, as well as a sound knowledge of current accounting practices.

Amaero uses Xero accounting software, so a high level of competence in Xero is an essential requirement.

We’re looking for a self-starter who can operate effectively with minimal supervision and uses their initiative where appropriate.

Remuneration

Plant Manager – Amaero USA

Amaero USA is seeking a Plant Manager, for its brand new El Segundo, California additive manufacturing facility.  This is a role that would suit an experienced project manager and manufacturing engineer who has had exposure to additive manufacturing or 3D printing of metals, AS9100 Quality Management Systems and lean manufacturing principles.

Amaero International serves the aerospace, defence and tooling markets with the highest quality and the greatest breadth and depth of 3D printed alloy components. Amaero’s know-how in materials, processes and machines is enabling the transformation of design and manufacturing of metal components.

Scope: The Plant Manager plans, directs and controls resources to meet customer requirements.  The role will entail project management and planning with elements of Safety, Human Resources, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Operational Knowledge -extensive knowledge and hands on experience of additive manufacturing and the effective application of lean manufacturing principles, preferably in the metals industry.
  • Problem Solving — applying logic and methods to document and resolve problems and opportunities.
  • People Management – the successful candidate will lead with a team development mindset; committed to the development and performance management for the location’s entire workforce.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations from an accredited institution
  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PRINCE2)

Consultant Design Engineer – Amaero USA

Amaero USA is seeking a Consultant Design Engineer, for its brand new El Segundo, California additive manufacturing facility.  This is a role that would suit an experienced design engineer who has had substantial exposure to additive manufacturing or 3D printing of metals.

Scope: The Consultant Design Engineer will:

  • Work with clients to develop and model preliminary component designs suitable for additive manufacturing,
  • develop and document customer requirements for the pre-production qualification of components,
  • liaise with the manufacturing team to assure customer requirements are met.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Operational Knowledge -extensive knowledge and hands on experience of design for additive manufacturing.
  • Project Management – experience in the documentation, implementation and qualification of new component designs from concept to production.
